21 Dec 2021 Paws and Pubs Mystery Tour

Bella the Dog Welcoming Bus just loves it when she gets to decide where we go and doesn’t tell anyone until the day. Boy did she choose a great destination. The Bay Trail from Altona to Williamstown and then onto Newport at the Junction Hotel for lunch and a nap.  Mr Diesel sends a very warm lick to welcome back Sybell (#37), Mellow and Chrysla (#25), Gemimah (#21), Ronnie (#16), Kennedy #15), Emma and Matty (#7) Sally (#2) and a big hello to Daphne (#2), George (#1), Smudge (#1) and Janco (#1).

How amazing was starting at the 100 steps and the view across Port Phillip Bay. As we wandered along the Bay Trail taking in the best of the west the water glistened and the pups just loved the new sniffs. Beach time with the soccer ball at Altona Dog Beach was certainly a highlight. Who could forget Kennedys magnificent cheeky roll the mud. From Golden Retriever to not so golden – so much fun. It was a tough race for the ball, but Mr Diesel was not going to out done, he chased and chased.

Now we think besides Bella the best ride of the day was Gemimah in her pram – what a way to go!

Thanks to Hippie Chick Coffee Van for delivering morning tea to Port Melbourne to kick off the day and a wonderful thanks to the fabulous hospitality from Junction Hotel, Jackie and her team. Absolutely great pub food. Merry Xmas to all the Peeps and Paws, stay safe and see you on the other side xxx GP Team.
