Such an amazing group to celebrate the start of our 2016 Doggy Winery Tours. Welcome back Havoc, so wonderful to see you again. Hello to first timers, Charlie, Rosie, Koda and Wrigley. Bella the bus was very patient with Charlie and Koda who were a bit nervous at first about travelling on a bus but settled in well before we had reached Lilydale Lake.
With lots of fun running and swimming at Lilydale Lake to be had by all 4-legged guests, it was time for some hooman treats and the first wine tasting of the day. Nathan entertained us on the lawn with a private tasting of 6 of the best wines from the historic St Huberts Estate.
Jo who recently joined Gourmet Pawprints as a Training Consultant, welcomed the chance to be Chief Dog Carer for the tour and her many talents with pooches was obvious, particularly the ‘follow me spell’ at the wineries………..such a wonderful sight to see so many happy folks, with and without paws.
Every pooch needs a nap at some point and Jo managed to use her ‘calming spell’ to get all the fur-kids rested and cuddled over lunch while their parents enjoyed Rochfords.
A short stroll to Soumah Winery was just the right amount of exercise after a lazy lunch and we were greeted with good old fashioned service by Brett and then we were in a trance with the lively oration from Bailey, what an amazing knowledge of wine and food!
Happy Birthday Andrea and Havoc, so glad you chose to share your special day with us and congratulations on winning the Ella+Friends Woof book. Great photos!
