9 Jan 2016 Dandenong Ranges Doggy Winery Tour

With lots of chatter and licks we were off and driving to the Dandenong Ranges Doggy Winery Tour. We know our dog welcoming bus Bella is very special and even more so when Bella the Staffy came onboard to meet her namesake.

Welcome back Timber, Molly, Cooper and Skull another adventure to tell all your friends about during the week.

Hello  to our first timers Tui, Etta, Barry and Mia it was wonderful to meet you and share the day sniffing and wining with your fur-parents.

Whispering Hills had a gentle breeze blowing as we stepped off for our morning wine tasting and it was very nice on their decking area enjoying wines.

Now as much as we pride ourselves on extensive preparation, even the best laid plans wobble a bit from time to time and Bella decided (with a bit of involvement from Kerry!) to share more of the Dandenong Ranges roads than was originally planned. That happens when you miss the turn off. Oppsie!

As Bonnie our very talented dog carer, set up the lunch relaxation area, our 2 and 4 legged folks enjoyed a walk through the Alfred Nicholas Gardens and what a sensational day for it, light breeze, sun out and not humid, pawfect. With all the pooches tucked up for a nap, it was over to Sharon our social extraordinaire –  Host to care for their fur-parents and to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Burnham Beeches over a 3 course lunch.

After lunch in hand, it was off for a short romp before Bella said “time for our next stop all aboard”.

Happy Woof Day to Skull and Cooper – we hope you enjoyed your birthday treats.

The unassuming drive way at Elmswood Estate belies the amazing view from outdoor tasting area, simply stunning, I think a few were plotting to find a way to stay another 5 or 6 hours! Sadly it was time to hop on board and nestle into a nap for the journey home.

Congratulations Molly on winning the Ella+Friends Woof coffee table book – great photo, our very own barrel girl.

On behalf of the entire Gourmet Pawprints team – Kerry, Michaela, Sharon, Bonnie and Bella – thank you for sharing the day with us and we hope to see you soon.
