Well it might only be the second Paws and Pubs due to recent lockdowns, however we are nailing the weather by 100%. Such a beautiful Winter’s day in Melbourne and it was Gourmet Pawprints 8th Birthday!! Yay to us. It was great to kick off with morning tea from BlackSheep Cafe, simply pawfect to drive away with muffins and coffees while trying to guess our mystery destination. Jumpers soon came off and there was a spring in everyone’s step. First stop was Pentridge Prison for a wee break and to check out a time gone by. The sniffari started at Coburg Lake and  onto the Merri Creek Trail. Bella The Dog Welcoming Bus kindly offered to pick up little paws who were a bit weary however most seemed to just want to be out in the sunshine. With over 11km travelled, there was some interesting challenges in the last leg to Edinburgh Gardens with the recent rains proving logs could be climbed over. Ben – navigator extraordinaire was in charge! Many thanks to the folks at The Empress Hotel in Nth Fitzroy for welcoming our group. It was certainly a lunch well deserved.
