1. How much does the consultation cost?
- $150 for a 1hour online and individual service. Bookings can be transferred to an alternative date with 48hours notice however there are no refunds
2. What type of behavioural challenges will the service address?
- Common situations such as fear of walking past other dogs, excessive barking, lead pulling, reactivity, greeting other dogs, socialisation and any specific questions you may have.
3. Will my Vet support this information?
- Whilst every Veterinarian strives to ensure great nutrition and behaviour advice, they all have individual preferences as to what is best for your dog based on their expert clinical experience. You will get an emailed copy of the nutrition report that you can provide to your Vet for their input.
4. What is the difference between canine communication and dog training?
- Dog training typically focuses on obedience and making our dogs do as we want. Canine Communication is about understanding the world from your dogs perspective and using their language to assist them. Our approach is not to create 'little soldiers' but rather to learn from them about what they need and support them to lead their best life.
5. What is included in the nutrition report?
- See an example of the nutrition report HERE
6. Can I use the information provided for more than one dog?
- Each consultation is tailored for a specific dog. The canine communication information can be used as a guideline for other dogs however we do not recommend using the nutritional information for any other dog than the one for which the consultation has been booked without Veterinary advice.
7. Is the consultation suitable for all dogs?
- The consultation is not suitable for dogs who are pregnant, lactating, have any underlying medical conditions or are under 1 year of age.
8. How do I introduce a homemade diet when my dog is use to other foods?
- Changes to your dog's diet should be done slowly, introduce new foods one at time and consult your Vet if you have any questions.
9. How do I know what ingredients to purchase for the recipes?
- Each recipe has the quantities and tips for purchasing and are readily available from food stores
