We give thanks to La Nina for playing nicely today and not showing her head. What a magnificent day to be out and about exploring Daylesford and Trentham on a Sniffari. We like to say an experience for the senses – Peeps and Paws alike. Welcome back Sybell (#62), Grace (#5), Winston (#3), Jessie (#2), Hunter (#2) and Max (#2) and a big Hello to Bailey (#1). With guest appearances from Mellow (#51), Chrysla (#51) and Whispa (#2) at Lake Daylesford, so glad you could make it. Thanks to Bailey, we managed to avert a morning crisis with loads of bike riders and Port Melbourne being off limits – thanks Bailey, good job on suggesting an alternative location. We hope you enjoyed the Yarraville & Footscray Bowling Club (Ms Bella the Dog Friendly Bus’ home) and where the Mindful Walks will happen. And there is nothing like the first stop being to refuel – just to add a bit of the behind the scenes to the tour. Seriously, thanks folks for your understanding on needing to change the meeting point at late notice. Crisis averted! Boy oh Boy La Nina you may not have made an appearance today but her past few days of effort was certainly felt at Trentham Falls, with almost rapids appearing, along with a rainbow. Max ,Winston and Hunter did an amazing job walking the whole of Lake Daylesford, we think those little paws will be weary tonight. Despite Sybell again refusing to take part in the socialising activity (“Mumma, I have done this so many times, can we just get on Bella”), she was super excited to see Mellow, Chrysla, Whispa, Grace and Diesel – besties all round on the Lake walk. Jessie was so interested in all the sniffs, particularly over lunch – so lovely to see you again. Uncle Ben (as he is affectionately known to the regulars), did a fine job getting the picnic baskets ready and being the host with the most over lunch. Now there is nothing like a stubborn 50+kg Saint Bernard to amuse us getting on the Daylesford Train but we love you to bits Crace and we know you will take your time, as you should. You were in good company with Jessie, who just needed to ease into this train travel business. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as the photos suggest. We have so many Dog Friendly Experiences over the next few months, we hope to see you again soon. Paws Out from the GP Team
