With the weather gods on our side we christened Bella the Bus with her first tour as our Gourmet Pawprints dog welcoming bus. She had been given more than a once over in the weeks leading up to her hand over to Gourmet Pawprints, making sure all was in order and she was ready for our very guests. Bella has been on a very short school run for nearly 2 years in Birregurra (the home town of the infamous Brae Restaurant, so we know she comes from excellent gourmet stock!), it was understandable she took her time getting into the swing of the very big highways of Melbourne. You did an amazing job Bella with a little help from her usual driver, Patrick.
Diesel was so excited to see Bertie and Ally again, welcome back. Lilydale lake was the usual crazy ball chasing dog loving off leash play time. A great way to shake off the trip from Port Melbourne. Denzel and Texan certainly gave everyone a taste of what running fast for a ball should look like. Vinny and Sally – very gorgeous Cocker Spaniels were very happy to sniff out all corners of the park. The graceful Jazz just chilling out and wondering why these new friends all had to be crazy and fast around the place.
Our next stop and again pawfect weather blessed us at St Huberts, Wine tasting with Alissa was in order and of course more running around and sniffing for the dogs. Henry and Max had a ball wandering around the grassed area checking out all the nooks.
Sophie and Chicane seemed to hit it off and wanted to share their lunch blanket together at Rochfords. Jaymi and Jack stepped in at lunch to give our four-legged guests some much needed R&R and treats while the two-legged folks were entertained with a private wine tasting and lunch. Wonderful relaxing lunch served expertly by Stephanie- Thanks for having us again, Rochfords. Really great venue with a special secure sleeping area for the pooches.
With such amazing weather gracing us all day, we excused the rain which only just dampened our walk to Soumah Winery, where we were greeted once again with the amazing hospitality of Brett, complete with outdoor heaters for our wine tasting. Fantastic Atmosphere! Rain?? – nope didn’t mind one bit.
Our Social Media Photo Competition is proudly sponsored by Ella+Friends Photography. Congratulations Jazz – you won a very special $450 voucher and the Texan/Denzel team won the beautiful Woof6! book.
We hope you take a close look inside your Ideal Balance gift bag for all the exclusive goodies from our Friends of Gourmet Pawprints Program.
Thank you to our new host Sharon, who was assisting on her first tour. We met Sharon as a guest with her friends, husband and pooches, Max and Charli back in September 2014. Sharon has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies at Box Hill Institute and volunteers at the RSPCA in the dog behavioural unit. With a background in hosting and her animal management qualifications we feel very humbled that she has accepted a hosting role with the Gourmet Pawprints team. Welcome!
