26 March 2017 Mornington Peninsula Doggy Winery Tour

With a slight breeze drifting over Port Melbourne, it was a pawfect start to the new Doggy Winery Tour progressive lunch to the Mornington Peninsula. We welcomed back Havoc and this time he brought his  sister Chaos – and so did not live up to their names! Our first timers, Louie, Biscuit, Tuppance, Coco, Rambo, Maisey, Millie, Poppy and George certainly got the hang of things pretty quickly. Biscuit was a little unsure of those stairs to start with and super excited to get off at each stop quickly making sure his friend Tuppence was not too far behind. It was an absolute pleasure having Poppy and her brother George come for a day out  and let them get up close and personal with the beach. Rambo and Coco cruised along all day bounding up and down Bella with so much joy, very cute! Maisey won a few hearts with her ‘please cuddle me’ eyes, how could you not! Louie  and Millie found a natural affinity with the cameras and with such picturesque vineyards, these guys were front and centre.

The Royal Hotel in Mornington was a wonderful spot to enjoy morning tea after a swim and rock hopping at the beach and  boy did those muffins go down a treat.  So glad our English friends enjoyed their pot of tea! With the promise of wine at our next stop, there was a skip in everyone’s step back to Bella.

Just how many “wows” can be said in 45 minutes was the game we should have played at Panton Vineyard – the scenery –  Wow, the food – Wow, – the service – Wow. Yep this was a Wow winery. First course of the progressive lunch was hailed a winner.

Thank you to Stonier Winery for a fabulous tasting in a nice quiet nook at the front of their cellar door – we felt very special to have this space all ourselves.

As Bella pulled up to Dromana Estate, we certainly made an impression on the other folks dining – who were just a little curious about our group. A very special thanks to Kaite and her team for yet another private tasting area was that was pawfect.

The pooches then retired for their movie, popcorn, massage and some me time with Nadene and Bella. Yes, there was a few 2 legged folks who wanted to join them. It was lovely to relax over lunch in such a gorgeous setting.

Congratulations to Louie and Biscuit winning the photos of the day.

We hope to see you for another pawfect day.
