It was little dog central for this Yarra Valley Doggy Winery Tour – and boy did Diesel want to be big dog boss, talking from the moment he saw his new friends to well lets say he finally ran out of steam on the way home!
We welcomed back Ronnie – who is such a regular traveller on Bella, he could almost drive, if his little paws could reach the peddles. Saying hello to Astro, Mischa and Jinkee.
Thankfully the weather gods were not raining down on us and we only saw drizzle as we snuggled up on Bella on the journey to Lilydale Lake. In true form, the sun came out at St Huberts as we started our wine tastings for the day. Even the pooches joined in – that is Deb conducted a water tasting session on the grass with the pooches.
Levantine Hill hosted the entree course of our progressive lunch and WOW what amazing personal service, so very grateful for the lovely gifts of olive oil from Caesar, the true boss of this stunning estate. Thank you for a very special wine tasting from Peter conducted outside so little paws could watch on.
A gentle stroll up to Soumah was needed before the pooches jumped back onto Bella and their blankets for a much needed massage and movie from Deb. With wine tales being told throughout the cellar door, it was certainly the pawfect way to start mains.
And to finish a day of paws and pours, it was a very smiling Sue at Yarra Farm Fresh who was excited to host us outside with no rain in sight.
Congratulations Mischa on winning the Shelby Memorial Photo Competition sponsored by Armadale Cellars.
Thanks to Jinkee for bringing your talented journalist Mum and photographer Dad who are doing a Lonely Planet feature, we are very much looking forward to seeing the article and pics.
