Melbourne you certainly lived up to your reputation – 4 seasons in one day, well may be even before 9am! Welcome to a great bunch of first timers – Billi, Ruby, Daisy, Toby, Rupert, Coco, Fenway and Izzy. The pooches didn’t mind getting their paws wet at Port Melbourne. With lots of new friends, smells and sights to take in these little paws were as happy as can be on Bella the dog welcoming bus. You could be forgiven for seeing double with 2 x Kerry, 2 x Trish, 2 x Claire and 2 x Tibetans. It wasn’t going to be confusing!!
We managed to get a walk in at Lilydale Lake as the drizzly rain refused at first to stop. Unfortunately our track record at St Huberts of always having sunshine was not to be – but still a fun tasting time. It was nice and cosy at our next stop for entree wine tasting with everyone comfortably tucked up in the courtyard. Izzy and Toby became besties as did Ruby and Fenway under the table.
A short walk to main and wine tasting then it was movie and massage for the dogs – with the little ones very glad of the rest.Billi got comfortable very quickly with snores filtering all through Bella. Ruby kept popping of her seat like a little bean but soon rested after her massage. Daisy loved her ear massage and Toby was rather partial to his back being rubbed. Rupert was happy to chill taking in the action of the movie – Hachi. Coco enjoyed her long hair being groomed while Fenway slept in a tight little ball to get some shut eye. Izzy love her belly being tickled and was wondering why she needed to share Sharon.
Lots of laughter and chatter throughout Bella made for great journey home. Congratulations Ruby on winning the Armadale Cellars sparkling wine for a fabulous barrel photo.
