21 Jan 2017 Yarra Valley Doggy Winery Tour

Thank you weather gods for bringing us a pawfect day of Food+Wine+Dogs! It might have been a bit nippy at 7am when Bella was getting ready for her  guests, however it improved significantly and the time we started our first tasting at St Huberts the sun was out! In fact, in the 3 years we have been coming to this magnificent vineyard, the sun has always come out just as we arrive – even in Winter – now that is a touch wood moment!

Diesel was excited to see Tammy, Teddy, Louie and Alfie again and was very chatty welcoming Lexi and Munroe.

Tammy and Teddy made sure everyone knew they were frequent travellers and understood the ropes very well. So very cute these two.

The grand dame,  Lexi was determined to take things easy and just go at her own pace. None of this crazy running around stuff required. Diesel needed to keep a close eye on Alfie, he was determined to learn the ropes of being Chief Paw Officer – well done Alfie but I think Diesel is settled in his job.

Once Munroe got the hang of Bella, it was a glorious view out of the windows and with his last day of being cared for by Lyn, he was going to make the most of this excitement.

Louie being the tallest pup on Bella – was certain it was more comfortable in the aisle than on the seat. We will give you the back seat next time, so you can spread your love around further.

Lunch at Soumah was just wonderful, gorgeous food and oh such fantastic service all delivered with plenty of time for coffee and paddock run before heading of to Badgers Brook for a tasting.

There was a Teddy meets Teddy moment when Badgers Brook resident 14 week old Border Collie came to join in the fun. Alfie put on his financial cap and let Teddy know he had not paid for his ticket. Cheeky monkey.

Congratulations Teddy on your Woof book – fabulous photo!

The necessary snoozing happened on the way home and then we wrapped up a fabulous day.

Best wishes from Kerry, Diesel, Sharon and Nadene.
