The weather dogs might have started the day a bit chilly but wooo hooo did the sun come out when we got to the Yarra Valley for the Melba Trail Doggy Winery Tour, so much sunshine and just the pawfect temperature to be out and about with Peeps and Paws. Welcome back Ellie (#7), Penny #3) and a big Hello to first timers Ginny (#1), Marshall (#1), Homie (#1), Summer #1), Olive (#1), Suki-Lee (#1). With the excited energy chilled down a notch at Port Melbourne it was all aboard Bella the Dog Welcoming Bus as we scooted our way out East. First stop saw the pooches making sure every blade of grass was sniffed and the appropriate zoomies were conducted before starting the wine tasting. It was fabulous to see friends Homie, Summer, Olive and Suki-Lee getting up close and personal with each other. Wine is always a great way to start a Sunday and it was off to the next tasting with Penny and Ginny very content being lap dogs, after all they brought Mumma and Pappa for their anniversary so cuddles were required. Marshall was very interested in how his humans might be changing his diet – just as long at the treats still came he was content. Ellie took one look at what a lap dog looks like and thought she might join in, just a tad larger in size and very funny. There was a very quiet bus of pooches getting their essential massage and having a well earned sleep. It is always wonderful to hear the banter of humans both new and renewed friends over lunch. A big shout out to Steve and Judy for joining me for the day as my ‘family’. We hope to see you all again soon. Paws Out from the GP Team -we hope you enjoy the photos!
