19 May 2018 Hanging Rock Doggy Picnic Adventure

What a fabulous day for our first Doggy Picnic Adventure and such a friendly bunch of pooches who were just a wee bit excited. Welcome back Morus and a big hello Jessie, Polly and Maggie.  As we headed off in Bella down the bumpy Calder Freeway, Angela introduced Diesel’s girlfriend Daisy who helped with the canine massage sessions. Which probably explains why Diesel was so chatty, he wasn’t happy that Daisy was getting all the attention or maybe he was translating Angela’s demonstration to the pups. It might have been a bit chilly initially when we arrived at Hanging Rock but the base walk warmed everyone up. We loved seeing the response to our carefully crafted picnic hampers filled with goodies and celebratory sparkling. Little  noses were certainly in over drive with all the wonderful smells and roo poop to sniff and yes taste too. With  Morus, Jessie, Polly, Maggie and Diesel tucked up on Bella getting a massage, it was time for the hoomans to tackle the summit walk, with strict instructions for everyone to come back down – no Miranda’s were allowed. I have to admit it was a steep challenge but oh so worth the vista. A more gentle ride back to Port Melbourne saw everyone home in time to get in touch with their Markle Sparkle side. Congratulations Jessie on winning the photo of the day competition – such a great picture.
