18 Oct 2015 – Mornington Peninsula Doggy Winery Tour

It was wonderful to welcome back our resident ‘frequent flyers’ Bea, Penny and Jake on  our Mornington Peninsula Doggy Winery Tour.  Hello to Chevy, Sandie, Punter, Pyp, Delta, Archie, Lily and Cocoa – what an exceptional well behaved bunch of fur-kids!

With all the pooches settling into their seats to watch the world go by on a lazy Sunday morning we scooted down the M1 and away from the traffic chaos of the Melbourne Marathon.

The sun greeted us at Yabby Lake Vineyard for the morning tasting and it was a perfect setting for some wine and relax time before carrying the many boxes of wine back to Bella – she just loves looking after wine, cheeky girl!

Flinders Beach never fails to get the pooches jumping for joy and it was very special for Pyp and Delta who had their first off leash experience – well done fur-kids. At 7 months old, there are alot of new things to explore for little Cocoa and this was her first time at the beach – sand in my paws – yippee.

Lani – our amazing local dog carer, was in her usual position on the ground at Red Hill Epicurean giving cuddles to the ‘Ooddles’ clan of Lily, Penny, Cooca and not wanting to miss out on the cuddles, Sandie joined in.

Chevy and Archie might have started out, just watching and seeing what was going on, but they certainly found their paws and loved sitting up high on Bella. We did try to convince Jake to walk off Bella forwards, but it wasn’t nearly as much fun as going backwards. Loved the smooches Mr Jake.

Red Hill Epicurean put on a wonderful lunch of platters of entrees, wood-fired pizzas, pasta, salad and wine, it was certainly a much slower walk back to Bella after lunch.

The very entertaining Janette at Dromana Estate greeted us with a beautiful table laid out with Red Hill Cheese, a rose and the tempting tasting line up.

Congratulations to Archie on winning the Ella+Friends Woof book – great collection of your favourite pics of the day.

Bella also received some praise from Hayley – who just loved how organised she is for her tours. Well Done Bella the Bus.

Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
