Nothing beats a bright Winter’s day in Melbourne, well OK maybe if you also combine that with beloved dogs, wine and food! It was a great start in Port Melbourne with Melbourne drawing all its strength to shine through the all important sniff and social time.
Diesel was very excited (read noisy!!) to welcome back Dharma, Oscar, Pearl, Rambo and Coco and Hello to our first timers, Prince and Max.
Such a leisurely walk on the beach at Mornington followed by a very necessary caffeine and muffin hit . Pearl was very keen to play with her ball and no sharing was to be had.
With the warmth of coffee and sand in the paws, off we went up Red Hill and off to Panton Winery. The welcome mat or should that be the welcome fire pit was certainly out for us. Stunning scenery, a chance to try the much anticipated 2016 Sangoviese with some local produce and combined with warmth, was a definite winner.
The pooches didn’t mind one bit staying on their cozy blankets on Bella while Nadene massaged, treated and movied their way through the human lunch! We were spoiled once again by the hospitality at Nazaaray Estate and their great food and wine.
Little paws were very happy to be out and about at Stonier with cheeky Oscar wanting get up close and personal with Diesel. Coco and Prince were watching and suspect thinking ‘what you doing buddy?’
Congratulations Max on winning the Shelby Memorial Photo Competition sponsored by Armadale Cellars – so many cute photos.
Until next time we meet with more paws and pours.
