There was no doubt Spring had Sprung as the mercury climbed all the way to 24 degrees on the Mornington Peninsula without a cloud to be found! Just Pawfect for all guests.
Our outdoor morning tasting at the fabulously renovated Yabby Lake, saw everyone eagerly listening to Narelle describe the line up of wines on offer. So impressed, there were notes taken, order forms filled in and lots of chatter about palates. Now that was enough ‘winey talk’ for some pooches, who just needed to take a wander to see the sculptures.
Next stop Flinders Beach and boy was Macey and Katie excited about going to the beach. It took them all of 2 seconds to pound into the water, with the very gorgeous Roxy and Belle not far behind. Kaiser and Sadie were very happy to chase around on the sand, that water thing just didn’t seem like a good idea.
Everyone was getting the hang of getting on and off our bus – Bella, and it was time for lunch at Red Hill Epicurean. With the pooches nicely tired and sleeping under the tables, hoomans joined in for a feast of food and wine. Roxy seemed to have got a tiny bit of a crush on Lani our Local Dog Carer, not really wanting her to do anything but cuddle her.
Height was definitely an advantage for Kaiser, who managed to look oh so cute peering over the table in a photo with her Mum, winning the Photo of The Day competition from Ella+ Friends.
The last tasting with wine and cheese was in the very friendly courtyard at Dromana Estate, with everyone in their happy state.
Now I hope we all pray to the weather gods to ensure every tour has this amazing weather.
